MARINE series: Citizen „Fujitsubo“ - 35th Anniversary Limited Edition
This Promaster model NB6026-56L, relaunched in 2022, is based on a very special vintage Citizen: A Challenge Diver from 1977 that was lost at sea and was found years later on Long Reef Beach in Australia. Still working and covered with barnacles. This is how the now common nickname “Fujitsubo” - Japanese for barnacle - came about.
The choice of color for this limited edition Fujitsubo is inspired by the blue of the ocean and the white sand of the beach. This can be found on the dial and in the blue details on the bezel.
The case and bracelet are made of titanium (SuperTitanium™). In addition, coated with particularly hard Duratect Platinum* (Vickers hardness 1,000-1,200 HV), which gives the metal a shimmering, almost transparent silver tone.
The movement is equipped with magnetic field protection. It ensures the accuracy of the watch by reducing the magnetic fields caused by smartphones and tablets. Other features are a timekeeping accuracy of -10 to +20 seconds per day and a power reserve of around 42 hours.
This automatic model has a diameter of 41 mm. The logo of the 35th Anniversary Limited Edition is engraved on the case back. The limited edition is 4,500 pieces worldwide.
