Citizen Zenshin: Titanium innovation with tradition

Zenshin – in Japanese, this term stands for progress, improvement or advancement. The world's first titanium watch, which Citizen presented in 1970, was based on precisely this aspiration.

And it was this same aspiration that led to exceptional manufacturing expertise and in-house developments such as Super Titanium™ and Duratect over the following 55 years.

At Citizen, these are in turn synonymous with particularly resistant titanium watches ideal for everyday use – they are light, hypoallergenic, robust and scratch-resistant.

And it goes without saying that all of Citizen's titanium know-how can also be found in the latest Zenshin models.

Citizen Zenshin Senkei – Chronographs made from Super Titanium™

This year's chronograph models in Super Titanium™ also feature more edges, a new dial design and a new size. They come in the colours black, blue, green and white. The diameter is 41 mm.

New chronograph: Function meets design and strength

And on these models, the small seconds display – as a totaliser (sub-dial) above the “6” – is also distinguished by a special feature: depending on the dial variant, the small seconds is in a contrasting white or black colour. This offers better identification and differentiation from the chronograph totalisers at the “3” and “9 o'clock” positions.

Inside beats the in-house B620 Eco-Drive calibre with solar-powered drive. When fully charged, it has a power reserve of nine months. The accuracy is +/- 15 seconds per month.

The striking new chronograph watches made from Super Titanium™ also feature scratch-resistant sapphire crystal and are water-resistant to 10 bar.
