In CITIZEN's more than 100-year history, there have been many world novelties, milestones and technical achievements. The Promaster Aqualand - as the world's first watch with an electronic depth sensor - has a special place in the diving watch segment.

CITIZEN is celebrating the classic diving watch, which was launched in 1985 under the name “Aqualand”, with a limited edition to celebrate its 40th anniversary.

The limited edition is 5,800 units worldwide and the recommended retail price is 479 euros. The Citizen Promaster Aqualand 40th Limited Edition will be available from July 2025.

Authentic and updated new edition - with golden accents for the anniversarym

The crown at the 4 o'clock position, the three push buttons and the characteristic, bell-shaped depth sensor at the 9 o'clock position are based on the design of the original model.

The case has a gray, matt brushed finish, while gold accents give it a special shine - perfectly fitting for a model celebrating its 40th anniversary.

The digital display not only shows the time, calendar, alarm and chronograph functions, but also allows depth measurement and dive time tracking in dive mode.

The Aqualand is also equipped with an alarm function for the ascent speed. It gives a warning signal if the ascent is too fast.

The case back is engraved with a logo inspired by the iconic shape of the sensor to celebrate the 40th anniversary.

The bracelet is made of BENEBiOLTM*, a plant-based polyurethane. CITIZEN chose BENEBiOL for its wristbands because it is resistant to hydrolysis when it becomes wet and has less impact on the environment.
