CITIZEN Super Titanium™ makes its debut in a commercial moon landing

The first commercial moon landing took place on 5 June at 21:17 German time. CITIZEN participated as the technology partner of the Japanese start-up ispace. Developed by CITIZEN, Super Titanium™ is used in both the lunar lander RESILIENCE and the Moon rover.

Extremely lightweight and durable, titanium has become a staple in the space industry. As a pioneer in titanium with over 55 years of experience and in-house developments, CITIZEN supports the Moon landing with its expertise.

Until now, Super Titanium™ has been used in CITIZEN watches known for their exceptional
lightness and durability, such as the current ZENSHIN series. Now it is also being used in
space and lunar vehicles.

ispace broadcast the Moon landing live from 20:10 German time on its own website, www.ispace-inc.com/landing, and on its YouTube channel.

Landing: 21:17 (19:17 UTC)

Landing site: Near the centre of Mare Frigoris (Sea of Cold), at 60.5 degrees north latitude and 4.6 degrees west longitude
